Dear Sir/Madam [Delete as applicable]:
Re: Recommendation Letter for [ENTER NAME OF COMPANY/PERSON]
Note: The first paragraph should set out how you know the person e.g. were they an employee or a contractor, what services they provided and what your relationship with them was
I write in reference to Andrew Simmons. Andrew worked as a contractor with Caliber Solutions as Legal Counsel between May 2014 and August 2016. As CEO of the company I was directly responsible for overseeing Andrew on a day and to day basis and we collaborated closely on various projects.
Note: The second paragraph should highlight the skills, experience and knowledge of the person you are recommending and give specific examples of how they were applied during their time with you and how they might meet their current clients needs. It can help to add in proof that the person had a positive impact on your business.
Andrew is highly trained and respected in the business community. He has substantial experience as a corporate attorney and a deep understanding of all aspects of corporate, commercial and securities practice. Andrew was responsible for all areas of corporate governance and advised us regularly on corporate financing and commercial strategy. His advice was invaluable in allowing us to grow from an underfunded startup to a successful company that was sold to a major international firm in the two years he worked with us.
Note: The third paragraph should sum up your recommendation, mention why they are no longer working with you if it is positive and mention that you would be happy to work with them again.
I have no hesitation in recommending Andrew for a role with your organisation and would be more than happy to work with him again on any future projects I may have.
Please feel free to contact me at [Enter Phone Number or Email Address or both] if you wish to discuss this matter further.
