B2B Marketing Manager

UpCounsel is looking for a B2B Marketing Manager to support our SMB and Enterprise Sales teams. You will run our outbound email campaigns, manage operations across Sales and Marketing teams, develop compelling positioning and messaging, support lead generation efforts, and heavily rely on data to drive your decision-making.

You will join a fast-growing team disrupting an age-old industry that is ripe for innovation. We need a scrappy and resourceful individual, ready to roll-up their sleeves and help build and define our B2B marketing strategy as we enter a rapid growth phase.


At UpCounsel you will:

  • Be responsible for managing our outbound email campaigns to prospective customers, this includes: building personas, developing content, and continuously testing to optimize results
  • Manage our lead database and streamline processes between Sales and Marketing teams
  • Use tools like Outreach.io, Salesforce, Marketo, Looker and others to build and automate a sales and marketing machine


As an ideal candidate:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a marketing-based role at a startup (SaaS, e-commerce, marketplaces), SMB, or an interactive agency (preference to startup experience).
  • Segment, segment and then segment again to find deep wells of customers ready to use our product. Be able to analyze data to identify and hone in on areas of success.
  • You are a quant-based thinker; you're analytical, organized, and obsessed with the little details that fit the larger puzzle. Being comfortable working with and analyzing data is a must! Strong Excel skills are preferred.
  • You're obsessed with learning, testing, winning, failing, and finding quick solutions to multiple challenges every day; an insatiable desire to grow and improve.
  • You have impeccable writing and grammar skills for web and sales copy. You're convincing and creative with an eye for design and branding.
  • You are highly organized and understand the delicate balance between systems, processes, and ideas in a very fast-paced environment.
  • You can collaborate and communicate effectively with peers; you'll ask questions to get information and answers to everything you need to know.
  • You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, are dependable, and can think quickly on your feet. You're able to make decisions on the fly with little or no direction and can adjust and adapt to the constant changes that face a startup.
  • You have a deep desire to be a game-changer by helping to build a company that is a leading catalyst for disrupting the legal industry.
