We are looking for a Account Executive who will play a critical role in ensuring our SMB business clients’ success on the platform and in driving conversion on clients that have expressed interest in our services. We are looking for someone who can connect with anyone, and with the right mix of persistence and charm; a hunter and relationship builder.  The ideal candidate will be exceptionally customer centric, have excellent communication skills, a problem solver with sound judgement and ability to think on their feet. As a part of this role, you will be in direct contact with our high-value SMB clients on a daily basis and will use those connections to identify and delivering on client needs to ensure they successfully book their jobs with an attorney on our platform.

At UpCounsel you will:

  • Drive growth through leading a high daily volume of client outreach activities via digital channels (email, voice, chat, etc.) and delivering on customer needs daily
  • Proactively develop a deep understanding of our customers, products, value-prop, and industry
  • Experiment with different approaches to outreach, messaging, etc.
  • Lead weekly reporting on client outreach & key success metrics
  • Provide insights, suggestions and feedback to managers, leads, and partner teams
  • Protect and grow the UpCounsel brand with each and every customer interaction

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, Customer Success or other client-facing roles
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
  • Passionate about customer experience and highly empathetic
  • Analytical orientation and able to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Hungry and energized to hit ambitious goals and “do whatever it takes”
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and be successful in an unstructured environment and work through uncertainty

Must be authorized to work in the United States


  • Experience working at a high-growth technology & sales company
  • Legal experience
