About
Vincent Tong is a bi-lingual attorney who, for over the past decade, has made the San Francisco Bay Area his home and playground. Originally hailing from Anhui Province in China, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Vincent learned early on the timeless value of what imagination, determination and hard work can yield. After graduating at the top of his class from Oberlin College, Vincent sharpened his leadership skills through mobilizing diverse communities in campaigns for fair housing, consumer protection, and media justice. Vincent excelled at Santa Clara University School of Law and received numerous accolades including Best Oral Advocate, the Thurgood Marshal Civil Rights Scholarship, and an externship with the Superior Court of San Francisco. Vincent competed in the Moot Court competition as well as served as an associate for the Santa Clara Journal of International Law where he authored a note on China's telecommunications policies. Vincent was also a recipient of the Pro Bono Award in recognition for his commitment to providing community service.



As an attorney, Vincent serves as outside counsel to start-up businesses and entrepreneurs and advises them on matters ranging from business formation to capital financing, employment law compliance, and monitoring and protecting their intellectual property rights.



Vincent also represents individuals and businesses in various litigation matters involving employment, housing, and commercial disputes. Vincent served as lead co-counsel in a trial involving failure to pay overtime hours, failure to provide meal and rest breaks, failure to pay earned tips, and retaliatory termination. Vincent also served as the second-chair attorney in a trial involving disability discrimination.



Vincent is a member of the Earl Warren American Inn of Court and serves as an executive committee member for the Alameda County Bar Association's Barristers Section. He is also an active member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Asian American Bar Association, and California Lawyers for the Arts.



Vincent also provides pro-bono legal services to low-income communities at various not legal clinics throughout the Bay Area, including the Asian American Bar Association/Asian PAcific Islander Legal Outreach Clinic, Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Legal Services for Entrepreneurs, Asian American Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus Employment Law Clinic, and the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center's Workers' Rights Clinic.



Vincent is licensed to practice before all state courts in the state of California, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
