Marlies spent the first 12 years of her practice representing clients in their criminal defenses in Superior Court. She handled hundreds of cases monthly for those years, ranging from infractions to serious felonies. She acquired thousands of hours of courtroom experience.
Marlies then transitioned her career to working as the managing attorney for the self-help clinics in Santa Barbara County.
