"Ian Chowdhury has been taking care of all legal matters related to my software-based business for over a decade. He has been involved every step of the way, starting with filing all the required documents for incorporation of a new business and registering the trademarks for the company logo and main products. He then designed the whole portfolio of software licenses that deal with complex issues of dual licensing (combining open-source with traditional closed-source distribution models), intellectual property protection, limitation of liability, warranties of non-infringement, confidentiality, technical support, and indemnification to name just a few. I was amazed how quickly Ian was able to grasp all the nuances of my very special licensing needs and translate them into strong legal contracts. The licenses Ian designed stood beautifully the test of time and scrutiny by over a hundred legal departments in some of the largest companies world-wide. Software licensing based on these license agreements remain the main revenue of the business. The modest fees Ian charged for this outstanding work was the best investment by far the company has ever made. I would highly recommend Ian to any entrepreneur, especially in the high-tech sector."
"Ian Chowdhury has been an invaluable attorney to me and my companies over the last 8 years. I would highly recommend Ian for any of your legal needs. You will find him to be extremely competent, dedicated, honorable…and a nice person. He is an outstanding attorney, supremely knowledgeable and a brilliant strategist. He has settled in my favor, or outright won, virtually every case in which he has represented me. My businesses have varied from light manufacturing to real estate investment and development, and Ian has shown exceptional litigation skill across that full range of business types. I have owed small and medium sized businesses for over 30 years and have dealt with many attorneys, most of whom charge exorbitant fees with marginal results, and have had a propensity to drag out every case. Ian, on the other hand, is an incredible value for my dollar and his work compares more than favorably with any of the high-end attorneys at boutique law firms to whom I ended up paying much more money."
