"Greatly greatly greatly disappointed at the finish of this job. We were quoted $708 for the work of reviewing our lease agreement with a triple net. The phone consultation was slated to be free according to her advertisement. She was very knowledgable on the lease and said she had not spent too much time reading it over before our conversation but would come back with some mark ups in the next day or so. We were charged $531 for and I quote "75% of Service Fees". So we were like ok good to go this will be good. She comes back with the lease in a day or so and it was marked up pretty good the first 5-6 pages then the rest was either blank or one sentence for the whole page. We were like ok well maybe she didn't get much time with it but followed up with some notes on messenger that we had already stated and was found in the lease but nothing really knew. Then we got a second charge for $118 for according to the invoice .5 hours of email and answering questions. And my fiance and I were like wait we haven't had that much communication with her so how can that be 1/2 an hour of work not to mention we already paid you $531 and there was no way she had done 3 hours of work thus far. Then we finally got a message that she finished the final mark up. And an invoice for $224 for .95 hours of work. And we said what hold up how is it possible that she did 4 hours of work. Because when we saw the lease there were only a few changes made. She stated she was sick and apologized for it taking about a week to get back to us. And we asked her Ahaji can you please explain to us the breakdown of the work you did. And we said perhaps there is a mistake. She said its in the invoice. So we went back and checked. Very little explanation in the invoices but the very first one stated, $531 for 75% of the work done. I'm not a huge math guy but that's $177 and so at the most since we paid $531 and $118 but the most should have been $59 to equal what she agreed upon in the taking on of this project. I do get it that if we went over we would pay the $225 an hour. But here are the facts and I'll let you decide. Free phone consultation that lasted 58 mins and 6 secs, a very sparsely marked up first draft on a 32 page lease, about 500 words of response to things we asked which was not very much, then a final copy that was not even available to be downloaded but we were charged another $224. She did not have our permission to charge our credit card but she did it anyways. She could not provide what the $531 was used for at all. She dodged the question and Saturday got a receipt for our job which was not completed and asked her to please review her time clock on this. In conclusion, if you want a lawyer that is not as fast at getting your job done, adds extra charges as she fits, and then charges your card regardless if you ask for proof then choose this lawyer. Buyer be aware its too good to be true. 2nd worst decision we have made in starting up our business. You would be better off looking elsewhere for service. First and last time we will use Upcounsel!!!"

"Ahaji Amos did a great job with three tasks that I needed to complete: create a new LLC, file paperwork for a trademark and file a provisional patent. I learned a lot about intellectual property that I didn't know. She was generous with emails and information."
