Client Reviews
"Trevor was quick to respond to any and all questions and concerns we had during the whole process of our construction of our new home, which included drawing up contracts. If for any reason he didnt have an answer for us he was able to get back to us with the information in a timely manner. He was a great go between for us, concerning our Mortgage broker, title company, appraisal company and Contactor. We could not have made it through the past 10 months without Trevor. All the while he was extremely professional. We have referred him to several friends already and will continue to do so."
"I have bought and sold homes a dozen times in my life, and I never paid much attention to my "choice" of Realtor. Mostly luck of the draw, and I really didn't think it could make much difference. Well, my experience with Trevor Martin forever changed my thinking on that. Most real estate transactions go fairly smoothly. No major hiccups or obstacles. There was a talk show host on the radio some years ago who insisted that you should have an attorney represent you in any real estate transaction, because when things go wrong, it can go wrong in a huge way. I actually tried to engage an attorney some years ago when buying a home, and the attorney I spoke with blew me off, said all I needed was a Realtor. What I can tell you is that I am majorly grateful that I chose Trevor Martin and Land Catchers for the recent sale of an investment property. His qualifications as an attorney became critical to the transaction. It started off easily enough. Trevor suggested a selling price that was more than I thought I could get, but he provided convincing reasons why his suggested price was not a "high ball" to get the listing. I quickly received two offers in the first week and ultimately sold the property for more than I dreamed possible. However, it was not easy. At every step, there were obstacles, and most of them would have stymied a traditional Realtor. We had an issue with an easement that threatened to cost me $30,000 which Trevor negotiated down to a fraction of that. As I had feared, the appraisal came in low and didn't support the sales price. Trevor prepared an exhaustive, well documented appeal, and within days, the appraisal was raised to match the selling price. I have no doubt that had I gone with a different Realtor, this sale would have fallen through. At best, the easement and appraisal issues would have force me to sell at a significant loss. Trevor communicated promptly and completely throughout the transaction, making sure I was updated at every step. I couldn't be happier with my experience."
