I was raised on a small family farm in Iowa. I still work on the farm with my dad. Prior to my career as a lawyer I worked for a large multinational in plant breeding and genetics.
As a lawyer I worked at a law firm working primarily on insurance defense cases and also some criminal prosecution that was contracted for a local town. Most recently I worked for over 3 years as in house counsel with my primary responsibility being contract negotiation and review. I also practiced some real estate, M&A, regulatory, and intellectual property. I also designed, implemented, and managed many of our computer databases and workflows.
