I have been a licensed attorney in California since 2002 and a registered patent agent since 2001. Prior to my career as an attorney, I was an R&D chemist for 6 years. As a chemist I was introduced to patents and how to get around them. Eventually I decided that chemistry was more fun on paper and returned to law school, where I dabbled in Constitutional and Criminal Law through internships. After law school, I practiced a little immigration, a little family law, along with some insurance defense, but have been practicing IP law exclusively since 2004 with a clientele mostly consisting of independent inventors and small companies..
