"I am a leader in my industry and enjoy a competitive advantage over my competition as a result of Steve Witters’ council. He is honest, authentic and a gentleman yet tough when required. Steve Witters has my highest recommendation that I extend to anyone who is contemplating the acquisition of a patent to protect their creative ideas and inventions. Years ago I was fortunate to have an idea that would revolutionize a particular type of tooling in my industry. To my surprise, I had a very difficult time finding a patent attorney who could appreciate the novelty, benefits and ingenuity of my invention. I found Steve Witters’ name online and made an appointment expecting the same uninspired and dull exchange that I experienced previously with other attorneys. To my surprise and probably as a result of Steve’s engineering background, he immediately grasped the potential of my invention and after initial research, encouraged me to file for a patent. Thus was the beginning of an almost decade long relationship I have had with Steve and I am proud to say that I now hold four US patents and three International patents (Canada, Australia and The European Union). Allow me to offer you some advice that I can only give as a result of Steve’s reliable, patient and knowledgeable council. Do not get discouraged when the patent examiner cites fifteen existing patents that nullify your idea. You must prosecute (debate with) the US Patent Office and prove the novelty of your patent. Even though the patent examiner renders a final determination rejecting your patent, it really doesn’t mean NO!"
