"I was subject to a citizen's arrest, based on a misunderstanding, in Los Angeles last month for a misdemeanor violation. I did not think that I should have been arrested, much less even charged with a crime. After being arrested, I was cited and promptly released. Prior to my court date and prior to being formally charged with any crime, I received several notifications in the mail after my arrest from attorneys in the Los Angeles area. Shortly after obtaining the Office Hearing, Michael contacted me again to say the City Attorney had elected to preempt the office hearing (take the Office Hearing off calendar), and that no formal charges would be filed against me by the City Attorney. I could not have been happier with the outcome. It was not a pleasant experience to get arrested but the absolute best result for this situation would be to have no formal charges filed against me and that was the resolution of my case. I do believe that Michael's familiarity with the City Attorney's Office and knowing the case procedures was a huge advantage.
