Client Reviews
"Mozambique has a situation where mining and power grid authority are under different ministries. In this situation the mine lease is shorter than the power purchasing period requiring us to secure a third party to supply in default compensating the power grind authority. Chris was able to help us to negotiate the terms and default mechanism."
"Chris helped me to setup a power of attorney for my trustee linked to a brokerage account setup under a trust deed to purchase shares in a foreign market."
Work History
Khai Kwan (Sydney, Australia)
Principal Lawyer
Sep 2015 - Present
I do migration and IP law at the moment. In NSW (Australia) I currently appear as a Solicitor while in Malaysia and Western Australia (where I previously practised in child abuses cases, I appeared as a Barrister, so its a bit of adjustment. I am currently actively building my practise by adding value providing an auction platform for my clients to sell their properties (see Violater, com) .
KHKWAN & CO (Malaysia)
Advocate
Feb 2009 - Present
In addition to law, I do coding and prosecuting before the USPTO. There is a difference working in litigation that only those involved can experience, for example finding the truth at what costs is a dilemma ? Spending hours picking on details which your client cant even remember by testing his or her memory. Persuading Patent Examiners that your case is preferred.
MF Poon & Hiew (Malaysia)
Advocate
Aug 2006 - Jan 2009
This is my training ground to be an Advocate.
Ecorpnu Pty Ltd (Australia)
Executive Director
Feb 1999 - Jun 2006
My first startup. I was doing my Phd (in concealing data or creating fake data) then at Sydney Uni. I also designed self-printing tickets before it became fashionable (barcodeticket.com), ran a domain registrar service, (under opensrs) and so on. Came up with other ideas like deposits bidding, now depositoffer.com which is patented.
University Malaya
Lecturer
Nov 1995 - Jan 1999
I taught environmental law and environmental economics at postgraduate level. I did not manage to get my students to be environmental conscious which was my goal. In fact I am disappointing over the environmental had no place in our politicians' at all until now especially in China where they are forced to clean by force now.
