Over the course of her career, she has secured for her clients numerous trademark and copyright registrations, in the U.S. and internationally.

Ms. Finch has practiced in both Maryland and D.C. since 1978. Originally she served as a prosecutor in Baltimore City, where she was nicknamed "First Degree Finch" by Judge Robert Murphy for her litigation skills. At the same time, her father, Walter G. Finch, taught her intellectual property law. In 1997 she went to work in D.C. for the law firm of Stevens Davis, Miller & Mosher, LLP as their head trademark and copyright litigator. She has a broad litigation practice and has tried cases dealing with trademark and copyright infringement, unemployment, landlord tenant, divorce, collections, and criminal, both as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney in either state or federal court in Maryland, Pennsylvania, D.C., Virginia, California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey and others. She also has been engaged in the prosecution and litigation of numerous trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, filed numerous copyright applications with the U.S. Copyright Office and has successfully obtained the transfer of domain names to trademark registrants.
