I have a plethora of experience both as an accomplished commercial trial and appellate lawyer and as a general counsel and have been rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell for over two decades. I have handled complex commercial matters and litigation throughout the United States, having represented parties in matters in over a dozen states. Besides handling innumerable trials (both jury and bench), I have successfully argued before the Supreme Court of the United States, numerous federal Courts of Appeal, the Supreme Courts of the States of Colorado and Illinois, and several states' appellate courts. Having acted several times as a general counsel, I understand the in-house perspective on litigation and other legal matters. Among other things, I have handled contract, employment, compliance, ethics, governance and insurance matters.
I also have a wealth of experience in the area of construction law, having handled matters throughout the United States. Besides extensive experience as a construction lawyer, I have worked in construction--both in the field as a carpenter and laborer and in the office bidding jobs. I also had a year of architectural engineering while attending the University of Colorado. I have represented owners, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, architects and engineers throughout the United States.
