Kamal Patel was born and raised in San Jose, California. After attending Carden Elementary school in Santa Clara, California for 10 years, he subsequently attended St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California. Following St. Francis, Kamal moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA. He graduated with Honors and Distinction from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and also earned a JD from the UCLA School of Law and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also completed a certificate program at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has completed a rigorous curriculum with extensive Training the Street seminars on Corporate Valuation, LBO and Merger Consequences Modeling and DCF Valuation Modeling.

Kamal Patel is an avid runner and weight lifter in his spare time. He is a huge San Francisco Giants fan and also follows football, basketball and hockey (particularly the San Jose Sharks). He enjoys outdoor activities and traveling different parts of the world. He has visited over 50 different countries on 5 different continents and all but a few states in the US.
