I offer a full range of legal advice to help employees and small businesses navigate the often confusing rights and obligations of the workplace. I can answer discrete employment law questions, or can collaborate longer-term to help navigate difficult or complicated workplace issues. I offer a thoughtful, holistic approach based on years of experience as an employment law litigator.

Developed insurance litigation practice in insurance bad faith, ERISA, STOLI/IOLI, federal and state interpleaders, life insurance rescission, and some reinsurance from inception through resolution. Successfully resolved dozens of cases either solo or in close collaboration with supervisors. Sat second-chair in two-week jury trial in state court that resulted extremely favorable verdict.

Managed up to fourteen employment discrimination and first-party bad faith insurance cases from initial pleadings through summary judgment motions. Investigated and prepared written responses to EEOC and DFEH charges. Recruited to follow named partner to Wilson Elser.

Represented employees/plaintiffs in discrimination, wage and hour, and disability-related lawsuits. Managed up to seven employment discrimination cases in early litigation: investigated allegations and drafted complaints; successfully opposed demurrers; handled discovery and discovery disputes; and mediation.
