Mr. Brotman was also formerly with Covington & Burling LLP in New York City. As a legal assistant, he served as the primary legal staff contact for the Corporate practice group. Mr. Brotman was a key representative on over twenty major corporate transactions and dealt with a wide range of issues. He participated in a both public and private equity and debt financings, public and private mergers and acqusitions, and numerous other corporate transactions for clients ranging from small "startup" companies to major multi-billion dollar corporations. In addition, Mr. Brotman was the assistant to special counsel for two of the largest bankruptcies in United States history.
Mr. Brotman received his Juris Doctorate and his Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of San Diego. While in law school, he was professionally certified as a mediator and won numerous awards for oral and written advocacy. He was also a past president of the USD Vis Moot International Arbitrations team and led his team to the most accolades in school history. Mr. Brotman will graduate with his Masters in Business Administration from San Diego State University in May 2014.
