"Our negotiations with Krishana and her client together with a New York State controlled development agency concerning a restrictive declaration establishing long term affordability requirements for the acquisition of surplus vacant land in Brooklyn, New York was handled remarkably and professionally well. The vacant land in question is in the process of being developed over 5 phases and will consist of 10 mixed use residential buildings for a total of 1,160 dwelling units, and will include 105,000 sq. ft. of retail, commercial and community facility space. Although Krishana was on the “other side” of the transaction, she understood the end game very well and was very transactional in moving negotiations with us (as her client's borrower) and Empire State Development forward to a satisfactory and professional outcome for all of the parties involved in the transaction. It was a high stakes, high pressure transaction, and she didn’t miss a beat. As a result, we were able to secure the acquisition funding from her client quite smoothly for this important development.
