Daniel founded the Law Offices of Daniel W. Wayne in January 2012 with the goal of providing clients with cost-effective, practical solutions.
Daniel has successfully resolved dozens of cases on behalf of Bay Area tenants. He has built a reputation as a zealous advocate for tenant rights and getting results for his clients.
Daniel received his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, host to one of the foremost legal writing programs in the country. Daniel has always had a passion for social justice. In law school he clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice's Consumer Protection and Financial Fraud unit, where he worked… read more closely with staff attorneys to put a stop to predatory lending practices and fraudulent loan modification scams. He also served on his school's public interest board, volunteered at free community services legal organizations, and researched issues surrounding privacy rights in the workplace, an issue he continues to explore.
Daniel moved to San Francisco after law school and has been actively involved in social justice legal work ever since. He has volunteered at the Eviction Defense Collaborative and with the San Francisco Bar Association's Housing Negotiation Project, and served as a temporary litigation attorney with Oakland's Eviction Defense Center. Daniel also worked as a postgraduate fellow at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, where he worked on a wide range of felony criminal matters including drug possession and possession for sale, arson and violent crime.
Daniel shares office space in San Francisco's financial district with the housing rights firm of Wartelle, Weaver and Schreiber, and longtime tenant's rights advocates Paul Behrend, Jessica Alexandra, and Jonathan McCurdy.
In his free time Daniel enjoys traveling, reading and skiing, among other activities. He is originally from Seattle, Washington.
