Digital Marketer

UpCounsel is seeking a digital marketer to help manage and grow our paid marketing channels, with a focus on customer acquisition. You will work directly with our internal marketing team and VP of Growth to manage current campaigns and develop new customer acquisition strategies.

As a digital marketer, you will contribute to all aspects of planning, executing, optimizing, testing, and reporting on paid marketing campaigns. Candidates should have direct experience managing SEM and social campaigns. Experience with display, programmatic, video or offline channels is also desired. You will be responsible for driving profitable traffic and customer growth by optimizing to metrics such as CPC, CTR, Conversion Rate, and CPA.

At UpCounsel you will:

  • Manage and grow UpCounsel's paid marketing channels, specifically SEM and paid social
  • Help test and validate new acquisition channels (display, video, programmatic, etc.)
  • Conceptualize and implement optimization marketing strategies and tests
  • Help develop forecasts, budgets, and channel strategy plans
  • Own SEM bid optimization to meet KPI targets
  • Run on-going A/B tests for landing pages, messaging, and user experiences
  • Contribute to other team projects and initiatives, remaining flexible and willing to contribute to the larger company initiatives
  • Be a team player in a small, flat-structured, highly collaborative environment

An ideal candidate will:

  • Have 2+ years of digital marketing experience with hands-on experience managing paid search and social campaigns (experience with other channels such as display, programmatic and video marketing is bonus)
  • Be comfortable working with and analyzing data - strong Excel skills are preferred
  • Have a thorough understanding of AdWords and day-to-day campaign management
  • Experience testing landing pages with tools like Unbounce or Optimizely
  • Focused on learning, testing, winning, failing, and finding solutions to multiple challenges
  • Be highly organized and understand the balance between systems, processes, and ideas in a very fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills for describing complex concepts and documenting strategy, learnings, processes, and results
  • Have experience using data management and reporting tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Have experience with B2B marketing
  • Be a self-starter who enjoys learning new skills, isn’t afraid to ask questions, and brings new ideas to the table

Bonus:

  • Have experience in/around a startup culture
  • Have an understanding of the nuances of both the demand and supply side of a marketplace
  • Have experience with SQL and HTML
